Dylan's Design Thoughts

Feeling as though the traditional farmhouse design is a bit stale, I wanted to make thoughtful alterations that really elevate the concept. Starting with the legs, I added a subtle splay, and tapered the thickness to be thicker at the bottoms, giving a visual treat from any perspective. To provide strength while also honoring traditional construction concepts, I added two parallel trestles with wedged through-tenons that can be seen from the table ends. While still mostly geometric, I think the Trumpet Collection breaths a new life to what the farmhouse concept can be, all while pairing amazingly well with both traditional and contemporary aesthetics.
