Dylan's Design Thoughts
When designing the Lion's Mane Dining Table, I wanted to maintain the familiar stature of a trestle design while adding a bit of playfulness through the use of negative space: whether it is the light catching split in the trestle bases or the gentle curvature on the stretcher, I think there are no shortage of alluring features. I also love that the final phase to construction is the addition of the wedged through tenon on each trestle, which both symbolically and quite literally brings the whole piece together.
