About The Project

What specific needs or preferences did you have that led you to seek out a custom furniture solution?

I knew I wanted something beautiful, timeless, and functional for my office. With most vendors making office desks out of either wood veneers or non aesthetic materials such as plastics and resins, I was certain I wanted to invest in a wood desk that was crafted to function for the long-term but also made a statement.

Can you share your experience working with Turkey Tail Design and Woodcraft to create your custom furniture piece?

Working with Turkey Tail Design and Woodraft on this piece was phenomenal. From start to finish, he was thoughtful around every aspect of the build to make sure it was the perfect piece for us and our needs. From working hand in hand on the design, producing a 3D visualization, finalizing finish, and then delivering the desk in impeccable condition (and then installing the hand-selected hardware!), he exceeded all expectations.

Can you share any specific features or details of your custom piece that you particularly love?

Dylan installed custom inset drawers on both sides of the desk, as we have two people that work and utilize the desk. This allows us to sit opposing one another to work, have storage, and aesthetically - see beautiful symmetry! No detail goes untouched as even the edging on our desk has soft corners (which allows for A. a nicer look, and B. inevitably less bumps!).

In what ways does your custom piece enhance your space or meet your needs?

Having a piece that is not only beautiful today - but you know will be beautiful five, ten, fifteen years down the line is invaluable.
